NFL commissioner Roger Goodell says that he will reduce his salary to $1 if there is a work stoppage once the Collective Bargaining Agreement expires in March, according to an Associated Press report.
Goodell issued a memo to his staff that said both he and chief negotiator Jeff Pash will cut their pay to $1 if a new CBA isn't in place in time. Goodell currently makes $10 million per year including bonuses, and Pash's annual salary is around $5 million.
Goodell also said in the statement that "the entire senior leadership team stands with me in its commitment to resolving the CBA issues with the players' union."
